Congratulations to Maureen Bone, a 7th grader at Beaver Local, who is this year's Columbiana County Spelling Bee Champion. She will move on to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington DC at the end of May.
Congratulations to Joseph Duke, a 5th grader from East Liverpool, who was the 1st Runner Up; and Lucy Raymond, an 8th grader at United Local, who was the 2nd Runner Up.

The county robotics competition scheduled for tonight, January 16th, at the CCCTC has been cancelled and rescheduled for Thursday, January 30th.

Columbiana County middle school aged students and their families are invited to attend CCCTC's Trades & Treats event TONIGHT at 6pm for trick or treat, lab tours, and program activities. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes!

Congratulations to our Treasurer Lucas Cooper and our financial department staff Alex Bailey and Shelly Smith who were presented the Ohio Auditor of State Award. Jennifer Drlik, regional rep from the state Auditor's Office, stopped by to present the award to our team.


The CCEOC held its annual graduation ceremony last week. The 2024 graduates being honored were Caleb Collins (Salem), Matthew Matthews (Crestview), James Sturgell (Salem), and Kolton Thomas (East Palestine). The commencement speaker was the Lisbon Mayor, Peter Wilson. Congratulations to our wonderful students. We are so proud of you.

Congrats to our own Shelly Smith who graduated from Leadership Columbiana County tonight! Shelly served as the treasurer for the group project, and the class of 2024 raised over $12,000 for suicide prevention and awareness. The ESC is a proud member and participant in Leadership Columbiana County.
